Buddha Lotus Position
Brass Buddha in traditional robe seated in Dhyana mudra and asana. The Dhyana mudra and asana are the gestures of absolute balance of meditation. Dhyana asana is also well known as the Lotus Position. The Ushinisha (flame on top of head) depicited here is of Thai style. This flame is a symbol of energy - the light of supreme knowledge and it has similar meaning as a halo except the flame is a symbol of enlightenment than holiness.
