Finely carved rosewood figure of boys frolicking about a carabao, Asia's beast of burden. The carabao is a domestic swamp-type water buffalo (Bubalus bubalus) native to the Philippines. The carving is separate from its carved stand. China, late 20th century. Measures 12" x 5" x 5" high.
