Description
Hand carved teak 'Singha', a legendary mythical lion-like figure from Hindu and Thai stories. This architectural element is red lacquered under, gold gilt with green and silver appliqued cut glass decoration. Acquired in the golden triangle area which encompasses the four countries of Burma, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand. Early to mid 20th century. Measures 13" tall x 7" wide x 1" thick.
