Chased solid silver ceremonial bowl, handcrafted of 950/1000 pure silver and weighs 92 troy ounces. This exceptionally large water bowl is finely decorated with an intricately detailed band encircling the upper outer rim portraying floral and scrolling leaf, birds, turtles, shrimp, swimming fish, crab, and sea life motifs. It has a rounded form balancing on a rounded bottom. This Lanna style bowl was acquired in northern Thailand near the Myanmar border in 2002. It dates from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. It measures 15 inches in diameter by eight and half inches high. It's in fine condition.
