YORUBA FETISH FIGURE
The Yoruba of West Africa are responsible for one of the finest artistic traditions in all of Africa and produce a huge array of traditional fetish and offering sculptures. This standing female mother figure is portrayed with an elongated neck with two children and adorned with a beaded cowrie shell necklace. It originated in Nigeria, West Africa, and dates from the late 20th century. She stands 31" tall on an 8" wide base.
